One of the main reasons why I abandoned a secure and established career in commercial banking to build my vision of Drawlz was simple; I wanted to give men the choice to not have to choose between comfort and style. To this day, Drawlz is the only brand out there that offers a balanced blend of comfort, west coast style, and breathability with three premium lines of men’s underwear - Originalz, Cottonz, and Expressionz.

I was talking to a few customers recently when one of them asked me, “What’s the difference between the three aside from the fabric?”; a great question that inspired me to put this article together.

FABRIC

The main distinction between the three collections of Drawlz are the fabrics they’re made of. While all three are blended with a specific amount of elastane, the main fabric they’re blended with differs.

Originalz are made with 95% micro modal and 5% elastane, making them our top pick for comfort and softness.

Cottonz are made with a blend of 95% breathable, plush cotton and 5% elastane, best for those with sensitive skin.

Expressionz undergarments are made with a blend of 85% nylon and 15% elastane, the top choice for those who lead an active lifestyle or are seeking lightweight & quick-drying features.

Performance

All three collections of Drawlz comfortably move with you and fit securely to your body without squishing the boyz due to the design, flex fit flatlock seams, all of which we’ll get to later.

With that said, they do outshine one another in certain situations.

Seeing as the ultra-soft Originalz are the most comfortable, they’re the best choice for dinner events, a night out, parties, lounging, sedentary careers, dates, and intimate moments. The thick, luxurious fabric keeps the boyz warm and cozy, making it the best for those living in freezing, cold, or cool climates.

If what you’re doing makes you sweat more than average, go with anything in Expressionz. Made with our stay cool mesh, these premiere undergarments are the lightest & fastest-drying of the three, performing best with high-activity level careers, a day in the sun, swimming, bicycling, exercise; anything that requires a lot of movement and results in a lot more sweat than usual. Seeing as they’re the lightest option and also dries faster than the other two, Expressionz are best for warm or hot temperatures and climates.

STYLE & COLOR TONES

Although we put days - and sometimes weeks - into designing each and every pair of Drawlz, each collection does have its own signature look; we want every man to find something that fits their drip when they shop with Drawlz.

The lighter tones of Cottonz are best for a more classic or casual look; the simple yet modern appearance makes them easy to match with most outfits, making them the top pick for everyday wear, casual attire, and spring or autumn tones.

Without a doubt the boldest style of the three, all Expressionz feature a completely original and unique design front, sides, and back exclusive to Drawlz. The vibrant colors and striking appearance are the perfect match for loud summer tones, daring outfits, and head-turning styles that refuse to be categorized.

Price

This section is pretty straightforward so I’ll keep it short and sweet. Each collection has three separate prices, so we’ll start with the lowest price and work our way up.

All Cottonz are $24.00.

Most Originalz are priced at $26.00, only two pairs are $28.00.

The prices of Expressionz range from $29.00 to $32.00, with a majority of them being priced at $29.00.

WAISTBAND

Featured: Originalz Gold Anniversary Edition

Every waistband on all Drawlz provides a comfortable wear and secure fit without grabbing any skin as a result of the top-quality elastic material and 2” width; where they differ is the appearance.

Both Originalz and Expressionz have durable rubber logos on the waistband that are attached via very, very strong adhesive. The front side of the waistband displays the single ‘D’ from the Drawlz logo while the back side features the ‘Drawlz Brand Co.’ lettering. Each letter is glued on individually with laser precision for a sharper appearance and will not fall or get ripped off no matter how many times they’re washed or worn.

The Cottonz collection features a sleek, inlaid Drawlz logo that evenly alternates the entire length of the waistband. The colors of the logos are either white or perfectly compliment the color of the fabric.

What They're Best For

Now that we've clearly defined how they're all different, let's answer some of the most commonly asked questions I get about feel, performance, and wear.

WHAT THEY ALL HAVE IN COMMON

Although each collection has their own unique style, tone, and performance, they all share the same foundational principles and features.

While the fabric varies, all Drawlz are stitched together with flex fit flatlock seams. This technique results in a thin, flat, soft seam that’s much more secure and lasts longer than the generic seams found in most other brands.

Whether it’s the soft and sophisticated Originalz, classic and comfortable Cottonz, or lightweight and cool Expressionz, there’s a pair of Drawlz for everybody.
